Overview
Microsoft Teams Premium offers enhanced meeting features, including AI-powered meeting recordings, real-time translations, and intelligent summaries. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for leveraging these tools effectively.

1. Meeting Recordings
Teams Premium allows users to record meetings with automatic transcription and AI-generated insights.
1.1 How to Record a Meeting
1. Start or join a Teams meeting as a host or participant (with permission).
2. Click on More (···) in the meeting toolbar.
3. Select Start recording and transcription.
4. A notification will appear, informing participants that the meeting is being recorded.
5. To stop recording, click More (···) > Stop recording.
1.2 Accessing and Sharing Recordings
1. After the meeting, go to Teams > Calendar > Select the meeting.
2. Click on the recording link under “Meeting recap.”
3. To share: • Click Share to send a direct link.
Download the recording to store or upload it elsewhere (OneDrive, SharePoint).
1.3 Automatic Transcription
The transcription appears alongside the recording.
Click Transcript in the meeting recap to view and edit text.
2. Live Translation for Meetings
Teams Premium provides real-time caption translation for multilingual meetings.

2.1 Enabling Live Translations
1. Start a Teams meeting.
2. Click on More (···) > Language & speech > Turn on live captions.
3. Click Settings (gear icon) > Spoken language to choose the meeting language.
4. Toggle Translate spoken language to activate live translation.
5. Select your preferred translation language.
2.2 Viewing Translated Captions
Participants will see translated subtitles below the speaker’s video.
Each participant can select their preferred language without affecting others.
2.3 Limitations
Only available in Teams Premium. • Supports multiple languages, but accuracy depends on audio quality and clarity.
3. AI-Generated Meeting Summaries
AI-generated summaries provide an overview of key discussions, action items, and speaker insights.
3.1 Generating an AI Summary
1. After the meeting, go to Teams > Calendar > Select the meeting.
2. Under Meeting recap, find the AI-generated summary.
3. Click View summary to see: • Key takeaways • Action items assigned during the meeting • Speaker highlights
3.2 Editing and Sharing the Summary
1. Click Edit to refine key points.
2. Click Copy or Share to distribute via email, Teams chat, or OneNote.
3. Download the summary for offline use.
3.3 Best Practices for AI Summaries
Clearly state action items during meetings to improve AI accuracy.
Use clear language and structured discussions to enhance summary relevance.
Manually review AI summaries before sharing to correct any errors.
4. Automatic Transcription for Recurring or Previously Scheduled Meetings
Automatic recording and transcription of previously scheduled meetings can be done from the meeting options.
4.1 Adjust Teams Meeting Options
1. Select the meeting in Outlook Calendar
2. Choose Meeting Options from the Teams meeting connection summary

4.2 Enable automatic Recording and Transcription
1. In the meeting options navigate to Recording & transcription
2. Select Record and transcribe automatically
3. Adjust other options such as default language, access, and user abilities, as needed.
