Changing the Environment in E-Ship Comm Web Service URL

Overview

When switching between different environments in the E-Ship Comm application, you need to update the web service URL accordingly. This process ensures the application points to the correct Business Central environment.

Steps to Change the Environment in the Web Service URL

The E-Ship Comm web service URL includes a section that identifies the current environment. You must modify this section whenever switching to a different environment.

Open E-Ship Comm and go to the “Connections” tab.

Locate the “Web Service URL” Field.

Look for the environment E-Ship Comm is currently connected to.

Here is the format of the web service URL:

https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/{unique-id}/{environment}/WS/Unger%20Enterprises/Codeunit/LA_E_Ship_Comm

The part that needs to be changed is the {environment} value in the URL. This value corresponds to the environment you are currently working in, such as "SandboxEDI", "Sandbox02", etc.

Example:

Original URL for the SandboxEDI environment:

https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/241934d0-850f-4025-84ff-f9466a1edbca/SandboxEDI/WS/Unger%20Enterprises/Codeunit/LA_E_Ship_Comm

If you want to switch to the Sandbox02 environment, update the environment portion (SandboxEDI) to Sandbox02:
