Connecting to External FTP Sites
Before getting started, make sure you have the FTP site address, username, and password.
Log in as administrator preferably the Buadmin account.
Go to the following link and install the WinSCP program.
When on the “Select install mode” click on “Install for all users (recommended)"
When the UAC prompt pops up, click “Yes”
Click “Accept” on the License Agreement
Click “Next” after selecting the “Typical installation (recommended)"
On the “Inital User Settings” page, selct the “Explorer” interface option and click “Next”
On the "Ready to Install” page, click on “Install”
Once the program is finished installing, on the “Completing the WinSCP Setup Wizard” page, uncheck the “Open Getting started page” and then click on the “Finish” button.
Once the “Finish” button is clicked, the program will open up. Have the FTP site address, username, and password ready. Enter the FTP site address in the “Host name” field. The username in the “User name” field ,and the Password in the “Password” field.
Once the FTP site, Username, and password have been entered, click on “Login”
While the FTP is being logged in, a warning screen will pop up asking, “Continue connecting to an unknown server and add its host key to a cache?”, Click “Yes”
Once logged in, you will see the folders for the FTP site. At this point, you can upload and download files as you wish.
